height=\"289\" \/><\/a>The season for fresh local berries is coming soon, maybe already here for some, so what&#8217;s the best way to eat them?\u00a0 Of course, just wash and eat is the first way.\u00a0 When the berries are fully ripe, that&#8217;s quite delicious.\u00a0 Then there are the sugary desserts&#8211;pies, crumbles, cakes, and fools.\u00a0\u00a0But what if you want something just a little more than a handful of fresh berries, you don&#8217;t want to spend a lot of time making it, and you want something just as delicious and beautiful?\u00a0 Well, here&#8217;s the perfect solution&#8211;berries and cream.\u00a0 Yes, simply berries and cream.\u00a0 Couldn&#8217;t be easier.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Here&#8217;s the recipe (so simple, a recipe seems unnecessary):<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Berries<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Farm-fresh raw cream<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Wash and\u00a0dry\u00a0the berries, put them in one or more dishes, and pour on a little cream, to taste.\u00a0 Slice strawberries, if they&#8217;re large.\u00a0 Most other berries are best whole, whatever is local and fresh.\u00a0 If store-bought use organic berries.\u00a0\u00a0 That&#8217;s all!\u00a0In only a very few minutes this dessert or snack is done and ready to eat.<\/p>\n<p>For the best flavor and nourishment, I recommend using farm-fresh raw cream from a local licensed raw milk dairy.\u00a0 The\u00a0cream in the photo is from <a title=\"Stryk's Dairy\" href=\"http:\/\/www.texascheese.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stryk&#8217;s Dairy<\/a>\u00a0near Schulenberg, TX.\u00a0 There&#8217;s enough sweet creamy richness to the raw\u00a0cream that adding\u00a0sweeteners is not necessary.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/realfoodhouston.com\/wp-files\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Mulberriesandcream4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-2460\" title=\"Mulberriesandcream4\" src=\"http:\/\/realfoodhouston.com\/wp-files\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Mulberriesandcream4-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>My current favorite combination\u00a0is ripe strawberries and cream, but the local mulberries I found at the farmers market last Saturday\u00a0are also delicious.\u00a0 I can&#8217;t wait for fresh blueberry season here in Houston.\u00a0 Blueberries and cream are also wonderful.<\/p>\n<p>And I got to eat these berries and cream after taking the photos!\u00a0 Can&#8217;t beat
