We\u2019re also thoroughly committed to raising our animals in a sustainable manner, using humane and ecologically sound methods.&#8221; So my husband and I recently visited Revival Market, 550 Heights Blvd, to try the ready-to-eat food and sample the offerings at the Market.\u00a0 We both enjoyed the flavor and freshness of our lunch.\u00a0 We also enjoyed the meats we bought to cook and eat at home.\u00a0 The Market features local meat, although not all the meat is from Revival Meats, the other meats are local and pastured.\u00a0 There was a limited but interesting selection of local produce and foods, including heritage dried beans and Texas olive oil.\u00a0 The Market is also a source of hard-to-find rendered lard and beef suet.<\/p>\n<p>There is much more information about the Revival Market on the new <a href=\"..\/..\/real-food-restaurants\/\" target=\"_self\">Real Food Restaurants page<\/a>&#8211;they are the first restaurant to respond to questions about food sources and preparation methods.\u00a0 Having a restaurants page was one of my goals when I started the Real Food Houston blog.\u00a0 I wanted to create a place where those of us who care about the food we eat could pool information to help each other find the best of the local restaurants, where we don\u2019t need to feel guilty about sacrificing our health just for convenience.
